The Beautification and Tree Commission advises the Mayor and City Council on fostering and promoting beautification within Montgomery.
Seven volunteers appointed by the Montgomery City Council compose the City of Montgomery Beautification and Tree Commission. The Commission meets on the first Monday of the month at 8:30 a.m. at the Public Works building, 7315 Cornell Road, Montgomery, Ohio 45242.
The Beautification and Tree Commission sponsors a number of events throughout the year, such as:
- Seasons of Beauty Awards
- Plant Swaps (fall and spring)
- Hanging basket planting
- B&T Talks (seminars and workshops)
- Tree City USA recognition
- Garden Tour (summer)
- Swaim Garden Sponsorship
- Sycamore Elementary Schools Marigold Project
- Beautification Day (flower planting)
- Downtown Holiday Decorating
