Posted on December 30, 2025

Council Member Frank Forsthoefel

We are excited to welcome Frank Forsthoefel to the Montgomery City Council following his election in November. Frank retired as Superintendent of Sycamore Community Schools in July of 2021. Upon retirement, Frank completed 34 years of public education service, including roles as an elementary teacher, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, and, concluding his career, leading Sycamore Schools for six years. In his semi-retirement, Frank continues his teaching responsibilities at Xavier University’s School of Education, consulting with SHP Leading Design architectural firm, assisting school districts with levy campaigns, consulting with K12 Business Consulting, and assisting Boards of Education with superintendent searches.

Frank serves on the Board and Executive Committee of Operation Give Back as well as on the Board of Directors of The Colina International School in Romania. He volunteers with Montgomery Food Share. In his spare time, Frank enjoys fishing, watching his beloved Xavier Basketball, Cincinnati Reds, and Bengals, and spending time with his family. Frank and his wife Robin, who have resided in Storybook Acres for the past 10 years, have been married for 36 years and are blessed with two amazing daughters: Megan (28) and Madison (25).

When asked why he chose to join City Council, Frank shared:

“The City of Montgomery has been so good to my family, and it is now time to give back to our great community. I am hopeful my experiences and collaborative approach will add value to the great team leading our city.”

Please join us in welcoming Frank Forsthoefel to Montgomery City Council!
