The Montgomery Citizens’ Leadership Academy (MCLA) has completed another class with 24 people graduating as engaged citizens. The City of Montgomery developed MCLA in 2008 and has since graduated more than 400 people through this popular program that turns residents into active and engaged citizens.
At the heart of the MCLA program is a community-driven approach. The ten workshop experiences, conducted from January to March, are designed to immerse participants in contemporary issues that directly impact our community. These workshops take learning beyond the classroom into our community.
