Special Brush Pick-Up Notice!
Beginning Monday, October 7, Public Works will begin a city-wide sweep to collect all limbs, etc., left over from Hurricane Helene. They will begin with the Friday route and continue their efforts until the entire city has been covered. We are already in our Fall Brush Pick-Up schedule, with today’s route being Thursday. Public Works staff will work today and this week to complete the “normal” Thursday schedule. The Thursday route will also be included in the Special Brush Pick-Up beginning next week.

Officer Paul Payne

Congratulations to Montgomery Police Officer Paul Payne on his retirement!

Paul spent 35 years in law enforcement, including over 22 years in the City of Montgomery. Paul also worked for Elmwood Place, Loveland Police, Ohio State Park Rangers, and at the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

During his career in Montgomery, Paul served as Sycamore High School’s first School Resource Officer. He has helped countless students, staff, and parents through difficult times. Paul attended an immeasurable number of athletic games, dances, and graduations and helped create the District Safety Committee. In his own words, “The SRO has been my ministry for 22 years.”
