The City of Montgomery Beautification and Tree Commission has awarded the spring 2025 Seasons of Beauty award to Todd and Colleen Valli. Their traditional home was a definite spring beauty this past April and May.
The Valli residence was a standout beauty this season, despite the heavy rainfall this spring. The home was eye-catching and aglow with a brilliant display of numerous blooming trees and flowers as well as budding shrubbery. Acting as complementary bookends to the home were a large pink crabapple tree on the left and a white viburnum on the right. Touches of yellow and white could also be found throughout the upper and lower landscapes from the blooming daffodils in several varieties. A grand pin oak anchored the front yard and was just beginning to bud. A fresh cut of the yard for the spring highlighted the magnificent hillside of the home while the dark red barberry surrounding the mailbox was a perfect complement to the maroon shutters of the white brick facade.
The Seasons of Beauty award recognizes homes and businesses in Montgomery with special front yards, window boxes, and planters that peak during specific seasons as well as those homes and businesses with decorative features that celebrate the “season” or holiday.
Nominate your home or a neighbor’s home by emailing a photo and short description to aaronkellenberger@gmail.com. The summer award winner will be selected this July/August and will be announced in the September Montgomery Bulletin.
