What is the Blue Ash/Montgomery Symphony Orchestra (BAMSO)?

Starting in January, 2003, the City of Blue Ash and the City of Montgomery agreed to join together in the sponsorship of the Blue Ash/Montgomery Symphony Orchestra (BAMSO). Led by Maestro Michael Chertock, the BAMSO is a professional orchestra founded in 1987 as the Blue Ash Symphony Orchestra and recently renamed to commend the partnership.

The driving effort that brought about the BAMSO merger was a need to bring back a more culturally based vein of programming available to the public and the opportunity to link Montgomery and Blue Ash communities in the charge. The professional talent and quality performances presented by the orchestra is an exciting opportunity for area fans of classical music to enjoy and also serves to introduce others to the variety of art forms that music can be a part of. The July 3rd Concert, held in Montgomery Park, is ideal for neighborhood groups, family get-togethers and local organizations to make an evening out of the entertainment and food provided in this lovely park setting.

BAMSO encourages individual citizens of the Blue Ash and Montgomery communities to support its program by joining the Orchestra Guild, the Governing Board or through monetary donations to the Friends of the Symphony. For more information, please call BAMSO, at 513-549-2197.
