- Each month Commission members mailed handwritten welcome greetings to new residents of Montgomery.
- During the January meeting, Commission Members listened to a presentation about the “Equasion/Faith Coalition” – presented by Diversity and Inclusion Commission Members Chip Harrod and Mike Hawkins.
- During the February meeting, Commission Members listened to an update about the war in Ukraine and how the local community can help from Evegenia Nemirovska de Santos and Nazly Mamedova of the Cincy4Ukraine organization. The City of Montgomery followed up with donations of fire gear and fire hose to this effort.
- During the September meeting, Guest Speaker Deb Heater gave an informative presentation on “DEI Under Attack: a reminder of its value and importance for all of us.”
- Commission members participated in the Independence Day Parade & Festival with a decorated parade float and a booth at the festival.
- The Diversity Dinner Party with an Indian Culture theme was held on Saturday, August 24 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Swaim Park and over 60 people attended. A main dish from Kanak Restaurant in Montgomery was served, Henna Tattoo Art was offered, and dancers performed.
- Rabbi Schapera and Steve Coppel planned and implemented the 2nd Annual Menorah Lighting event on Monday, December 30 in City Hall.
