Police Officer Scott Bierer was recently promoted to the rank of sergeant with the Montgomery Police Department. Scott has worked for the City of Montgomery for nine years. Before coming to Montgomery, Scott served as a State Trooper for 16 years and previously worked for the Hamilton County General Health District.
“I like being a police officer because of the diverse responsibilities, being there for people in need, and belonging to a team,” said Scott. “I got into law enforcement because I wanted an exciting career with purpose. When I was five years old and on vacation with my family, we broke down on the highway and a state trooper stopped and helped us get on our way. That stuck with me ever since and I wanted to be just like him, uniform and all.”
Scott has three sons, Jack, Nate, and Danny and his fiancée Heather.
In his free time Scott likes to fish with his sons, spend time on his parents’ farm in Kentucky and go to concerts.
Congratulations, Scott!
