North America has lost nearly one-third of its bird population since 1970. Naturalist and Founder of The Roaming Naturalist, Jana Westhoven, will share simple actions to help our feathered friends at a time when they need it the most. This event is the second of a two-part series, with Part II scheduled for October 15 (no prior attendance at Part I is required).  This informative talk will delve into the native seeds essential to backyard birding and how you can begin your landscape with a winter seed sowing. Jana will offer other tips for assisting our feathered friends during the colder temperatures, and attendees will leave with a hand-made terrarium of native seeds that can be wintered on your back deck or porch. Space is limited to 30 reservations, and you must be 15 years of age and older.
