Special Brush Pick-Up Notice!

Beginning Monday, October 7, Public Works will begin a city-wide sweep to collect all limbs, etc., left over from Hurricane Helene. They will begin with the Friday route and continue their efforts until the entire city has been covered. We are already in our Fall Brush Pick-Up schedule, with today’s route being Thursday. Public Works staff will work today and this week to complete the “normal” Thursday schedule. The Thursday route will also be included in the Special Brush Pick-Up beginning next week.

Amy Smith

Amy Smith served as a Police Clerk at the Safety Center for the last five years. She has now moved to the role of Community Development Specialist.

“I decided to make the move because I wanted a new challenge and wanted to learn more about how the City operates on the City Hall side,” said Amy. “The thing I’m looking forward to the most is, of course, my new coworkers and learning a new department!”

Amy enjoys spending time with her horses, Dude and Ziggy, and hiking with her two dogs, Winston and Bandit.
