2021 Summer Camps

Tennis Summer CampKids ages 5-11 can learn skills that will last a lifetime! Classes are taught by The Club at Harper’s Point Tennis Instructors.

Location: Weller Park
Dates: This two week camp will be on Monday’s and Wednesday’s June 7, 9, 14, and 16. Weather make ups will be held on June 11 and 18.
Times:

  • Ages 5-7: 9:00 – 10:00 a .m.
  • Ages 8-10: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
  • Ages 11-15: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Please remember to bring your tennis racquet and a water bottle! Balls are provided by Harper’s Point Tennis.

A fee of $25 will be assessed for all participant cancellations that occur 7 calendar days prior to and after the start of a program or class. All refunds for classes and programs must be approved by Recreation Staff.

Variety Art CampVariety Art Creation Camp (Ages 6-8)

Throughout this fun camp, participants will learn multiple different art types. Each day students will explore different mediums of art as each day will have a different theme.  The instructor will engage with students through interactive demonstration and sensory learning.

Time: 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Art Projects &  Design Camp (Ages 9-12)

Throughout this fun camp, participants will learn multiple different art types. Each day students will explore different mediums of art as each day will have a different theme.  The instructor will engage with students through interactive demonstration and sensory learning.

Game Maker Camp

Game Development Camp powered by Game Maker Studion2 will empower campers (10 -14 years old) to make new and innovative games in the fastest and most intuitive way possible. Campers will design and develop 2D or 3D games and realize your dreams and ideas, with your final project being ported across multiple device platforms (mobile, Xbox, Computer, PlayStation).

Idap Academy LogoParticipants will use age-appropriate technology, software, and equipment to build functional Lego Robots. This camp will provide participants a fun introduction to Lego Robotics. All participants must have basic letter and number recognition abilities.

basketball camp

This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate players. Using our progressive curriculum, we focus on the whole player – teaching sportsmanship and teamwork. Boys and girls will learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding, and defense through skill-based instruction and small-sided scrimmages.

Ages 5-7

When: July 19-22
Where: Montgomery Park Basketball Court
Time: 9:00 -10:00 a.m.
Cost: $55 per participant – Each camper will receive a t-shirt and basketball.

golf camp

Beginner Golf

This four-day camp is for golfers with little-to-no golf experience. Participants have fun while learning the basic fundamentals of golf, including swing techniques for a variety of shots, course management, rules, and etiquette. This is a great opportunity to see if your child sparks an interest in the game. Class size is limited to 12 Montgomery participants and taught by PGA professionals.

Intermediate Golf

This four-day instructional session is a great way to develop the skills of intermediate and advanced young golfers. PGA instructors use fun activities to build skills in all aspects of the game. A friendly skills competition will cap off the final day of camp. Class size is limited to 12 Montgomery participants and taught by PGA professionals.

pickleball campOne of the fastest-growing racquet sports in the U.S., pickleball is quickly becoming a favorite activity among young athletes. Skyhawks Pickle-ball camp will give your young athlete an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of this great sport while learning life skills and a healthy, fun activity.

soccer camp 2

Using our progressional curriculum, our sport-specific staff will ensure your young athlete will gain the technical skills and sports knowledge required for their next step into soccer. Areas of focus are dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball control. By the end of the program, your child will have learned new life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship, made new friends, and improved their soccer skills.

Ages 5-7

Time: 9:00 -10:00 a.m.

Ninja Warrior CampThis program will help kids develop upper body strength, core stability, balance, and most importantly the confidence to take on life’s mental and physical challenges. This camp is for kids ages 5-14.

Date: July 6-9, 2021
Times:

  • Ages 5-6: 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
  • Ages 7-9: 1:00 – 2:30 p.m.
  • Ages 10-14: 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Location: Nati Ninja Gym, 4627 Carlyn Dr., Blue Ash

Camp is taught by American Ninja Warrior contestant James Wilson.
